Siena Photographic Workshop

Siena, Italy. Located only 12 km from Siena, Villa di Corsano offers easy access to some of Tuscany's other cherished destinations. However, the Clay Hills are undoubtedly the area's most important attraction. One of the best preserved mediaeval cities in Europe, Siena historical centre is completely enclosed by  walls. The centre is pedestrianised, a maze of narrow streets with a rich scattering of romantic restaurants, ancient churches, and handcraft boutiques.

Accommodation dates are from the late afternoon of Saturday October 12th until the morning of Saturday October 19th.

Class dates are Monday October 14th until Thursday October 17th.

Chianti Photography Workshop

Enhance your photographic skills by joining Duccio Nacci on this unique, exciting, and productive photographic journey of exceptional discovery. You will see the area around San Gimignano, Val d'Orcia (the Orcia Valley) and Crete Senesi (south of Siena) and enjoy the soft hills that are bright green in spring and golden in summer, with famous little medieval towns as Montalcino, Monticchiello, Pienza and many more that make this landscape so unique.

We can also take you to the area of the Chianti wine, with its marvellous woods, vineyards and olive groves, where the changing colours of the fall create a scenery of a painter's palette! The area around the antique towns built in tuff of Sovana, Sorano and Pitigliano is certainly the most mysterious and mystic part of Tuscany, as it is also where the most evocative findings like Etruscan tombs and the "Vie Cave" (the famous Etruscan road cut into the tuff) take you back many and many centuries. One may also go to the coast or the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago to make impressive seascapes.

All this makes of Tuscany one of the most beautiful regions in Italy, offering great opportunities to a photographer, as the landscape is incredibly various and changes according to the season you might choose. We will show you how to take photographs in a genuine landscape as Tuscany still is, where you will find Nature, unsealed dusty little roads, small country churches or medieval hamlets, architecture, sometimes people, at day-break or at sunset, in special light or shadow.

This four-day photographic discovery course will shape the way you look through your lens with a new and exciting sense of expanded vision. Learn to see a new way of looking at life: everything from how to see the magical light and understanding composition, to mastering in-camera techniques and paying attention to the smallest detail.

Each day begins with an amazing breakfast at the villa, then we'll start our discovery journey, shooting the most beautiful architecture, exteriors, interiors, historic buildings, piazzas and capture the charm of quaint neighborhoods. After lunch we'll continue our journey into the beautiful afternoon and evening light. We might even let our passion take us into night photography with it's many surprises. Your Photo Workshop experience will take your photographic skills to a new and exciting level and give you a lifetime of friends and memories.
